Just logged in tonight. Long time ago. Surprised to see that many have visited my blog.

I thought I might take up posting on this blog and I have something that was also long ago, but relevant and I really want to show that work.

…so here it is, the Kinetic Workshop for Atelier Q, School of Architecture at LTH, Lund, spring of 2010.

This sculpture is was made by Laura Wätte and Beatrice “Bea” Eklund. I think it is fantastic. Larv.

I tutored this workshop together with Jonas Marculescu. Think it was like two weeks in march or april. There was some great result. The students had to study the movement in given movie clips and interpret it in a sculpture. Ill post more pictures when I find them on my HDD.

- Now one week ago, the 15th of February, I presented my degreeproject in the school of Architecture at Lund University. Here is a couple of pictures from the exhibition and some final renderings from the project.

Unfortunately all pictures from the exhibition is taken by my or my sister’s mobile cam.. and the background is not very perfect..

Thanks to Josef, pushing me to make the exhibition neat and clean, here is the table with the experiments mouted on it.

Look really good I think, allthough I’ve discovered very bad english on the boards.

Also a movie of the flower mechanism again. Joakim helping again!

Tonight there was a photo session. Thank you Joakim Allerth and Josef Lindh for helping with assemblage and photography. bonne nuit

 me.

Functioning, more or less with two leaves. Wonder if it still works with 8.. let’s see. I’m happy anyway. The servo is rotating to lenghten the wires. Hard to explain any good. Até já!

I’m so glad I remembered this film and found it on Youtube. Have to post it since I’m not posting very much else and it is a bit connected I think.

Enjoy!

This is the Flower Mechanism extended to the fitting point where the others attach to make a flower. Laser cutting it right now. Até já!

This is my site for the architectural application of the experiments. It is the Malmö Opera House, built 1933-1944 by architect Sigurd Lewerentz.

The Flower-piece will be developed with this building, it’s facade or it’s grounds as a context. It implies a project that evolves around a sound-orrientated preformance, which is in line with my present ideas. This pick of context is in many ways similar to the music festival, if the project will be continued to be realized at the Siesta Music Festival. This is also relevant.

This is a diagram of the categorization and development of the different experiments I intend to present. This is work in progress, but still important to publish as it is right now for me to see which experiments are key for the resulting projects.

Today I’m hoping to finish this grassfield that I’ve been working on. I’ve made a structure for the straws an I’m mounting with screw sockets. I’m thinkin to have them trigger sound. Right now I’ve just mounted LEDs to test the function and sensitivity to wind. Maybe I’ll have both a blink and a sound triggered.
